Since ALH's humble beginnings in 1995 Alberto Antonini recognised the potential of Malbec as 'The Grape' of Mendoza. It was in this year that Antonini, a well-known Tuscan winemaker and former head winemaker at Antinori, and Antonio Morescalchi, a young entrepreneur, decided to explore the major viticultural areas of Argentina, to look for investment opportunities. They returned powerfully impressed by Mendoza vineyards and got to work.
